Hershey’s cream of the crop

Hershey Canada has introduced two chocolate bars to its lineup, Cookies ‘n Creme and Creamy Caramel.

While Hershey tests have shown both bars will do well across a broad segment of the marketplace, Cookies ‘n Creme is intended to appeal to children with its blend of chocolate cookie bits in white chocolate.

Creamy Caramel, big squares of Hershey chocolate filled with caramel, is expected to be popular in the Quebec market.

The two bars are shipping to stores across Canada now, but advertising and promotion are not expected to start until the new year.

The first phase of the launch will be sampling and point-of purchase.

No decision has been made about the use of other media.

Hershey also has not yet decided which of its two creative agencies, Bozell Palmer Bonner and DDB Needham Worldwide, will get the new assignment.
