– Allergan of Markham, Ont. has chosen Remtulla & Associates of Toronto to handle advertising for its ophthalmic business and three new divisions: dermatological, managed care, and neurological. The ophthalmic account was previously with Rubel & Schwab.

– Schneider of Kitchener, Ont. has named The Ongoing Partnership of Toronto for its meat brands business previously with MacLaren McCann.

– Fidelity Investment Canada of Toronto has picked David Cairns and Company of Toronto for the media planning and buying side of its account. Creative is handled in-house.

– AGT Directory of Calgary has given its agency of record assignment to The Agency Group, also of Calgary, after a review that included incumbent bbdo.

– Ross, a division of Abbott Laboratories specializing in nutritional products for adults and infants, has assigned five of its infant brands to Lally McFarland & Pantello of Toronto, including Similac LF, Isomil, Isomil DF, Alimentum and Pedialyte. The agency also handles Ross’ adult nutritionals, Ensure and Advera.

– Consumers Gas has awarded its core utility business to Weaver Tanner Miller of Kitchener and its direct marketing assignment to WTM Direct. The remainder of its $4 million account, retail and media, will be decided by mid-month. United Business Communications was the previous agency.
