Auto Trader goes on air

Now that fleeting glimpses of good weather has drivers thinking about hitting clear spring roads, Auto Trader has launched its annual radio campaign.

The humorous campaign for the Toronto-based magazine is scheduled to run for eight weeks on radio stations throughout Ontario.

The five 60-second spots were created by Padulo Integrated and produced by Pirate Radio, both of Toronto.

Done in a folksy style with acoustic guitar accompaniment, the campaign talks about how complicated some aspects of life are getting but how simple it is to buy a ‘previously-enjoyed’ automobile in Auto Trader:

‘There’s even pictures so you know what the vehicle looks like before you call.

‘Granted, you will need some reading skills and a telephone, but what you won’t need is 20K of ram.

‘Which kind of sounds painful to me anyhow.’

Auto Trader puts out a number of different publications, depending on the market, devoted exclusively to imported or domestic cars, trucks, boats, or motorcycles.
