Batho signs on with BCP

In an attempt to strengthen the media side of its agency, bcp of Toronto has brought in seasoned media professional Tom Batho as vice-president, media director.

Batho comes from McKim Media Group, the media buying arm of bbdo, where he was vice-president, group media director, for the better part of 10 years.

(Batho worked for a short time as media director of Miller Myers Bruce DallaCosta, prior to its closure in the summer of 1994. mmbd subsequently merged its staff and accounts with bbdo.)

Geoff Arnoldi, bcp president, has also brought in consultant Bill Booth, of Bill Booth & Associates, to set up a new agency program called The Turbulence Guarantee.

The three elements of the program include challenging the status quo, talking to consumers through quarterly focus groups, and issuing an omnibus three times a year to gauge and track trends.
