CAI review a horse race

The contest for the Canadian Airlines International account has become a horse race, with BCP of Montreal and Gee Jeffery & Partners of Toronto still in the running.

Ogilvy & Mather and Vickers & Benson, both of Toronto, were eliminated from the shortlist following the presentation portion of the review earlier this month.

Laurie Schild, Canadian’s director of marketing communications, says over the next few weeks, meetings will be held with each of the remaining agencies and a final decision will be made around mid-May.

Schild says the meetings will not be presentations but rather an exchange of ideas to flesh out the thinking that went into each agency’s pitch.
