Baumann moves to A&P

Bruce Baumann joined Ammirati Puris Lintas last month as vice-president, media director after a short stint at Media Buying Services, Toronto.

He replaces Sean Cunningham, who has returned to the New York office to take on the No. 2 media position.

Last October, Baumann left Saatchi & Saatchi after 14 years with the multinational.

He joined mbs as group vice-president at the end of January and worked primarily on Toyota Canada’s truck account. The account had previously been at Saatchi, the lead agency on the Toyota business.

Baumann says his new position lets him leverage his past experience and allows him to be part of the entire advertising process.

The Ammirati, Toronto media department is responsible for strategic planning on all Labatt brands, and on some Lever-Pond’s and Johnson & Johnson brands, as well as planning and buying on ikea, Compaq and ups.
