Garneau snaps up Roots account

Less than a week after opening its doors May 6, Garneau Wurstlin Philp: Brand Engineering picked up its first client, Roots Canada.

The fledgling Toronto agency will be identifying what the Roots brand stands for and unveiling the new face of the Toronto-based casual wear retailer through a campaign this fall.

Roots has been handling advertising in-house since splitting with Roche Macaulay & Partners a year ago.

Roots operates more than 100 stores in Canada, Japan, South Korea and the u.s.
