Glennie Stamnes Strategy of Vancouver is exploring the possibility of opening an office in Arizona, possibly as a joint venture.

Bob Stamnes, agency president, says the firm plans to take a closer look at the area in the new year.

He says since the agency picked up the Phoenix, Ariz.-based America West Airlines business this spring, it has discovered there is great potential in the market.

Arizona is the seventh largest market in the u.s. yet Stamnes says it is underdeveloped compared to Vancouver.

America West Airlines serves the u.s., Canada and Mexico from its hubs in Phoenix and Las Vegas, Nev.
