Publicis-BCP wins Nestle ice cream

Nestle Canada has awarded the business for its Ice Cream division to Publicis-BCP following a review that also included J. Walter Thompson.

The Publicis and jwt networks are both aligned with Nestle worldwide but had not, until this point, had any of the business in Canada.

Nestle’s Canadian agencies are fcb, which handles Stouffers and Quik brands, and MacLaren McCann, which has the bulk of the business.

Optimedia handles media buying.

The Nestle Ice Cream assignment includes all of the ice cream and frozen yogurt brands that came with the purchase of the Ault Frozen Products Division in January including Haagen-Dazs, Sealtest Parlour, Meadowgold and Famous, as well as Nestle Drumstick, Nestle Crunch, and J. Higby’s.

Holmes Donin Alloul of Toronto has handled the Ault brand advertising since last October.
