FCB Toronto has tapped Neil McOstrich to take over the agency’s top creative spot – senior vice-president, executive creative director – on Sept. 8.
He replaces Cotton Stevenson, who left FCB earlier this summer after six years.
For the past two-and-a-half years, McOstrich has been senior vp, group creative director at BBDO Retail, heading up the Chrysler Canada group responsible for award-winning work such as the Chrysler minivan ‘Snowball’ tv spot.
Before bbdo, he spent four-and-a-half years at MacLaren Lintas (now MacLaren McCann) and nearly three years at Scali McCabe Sloves, which has since been merged into Roche Macaulay & Partners.
McOstrich, a copywriter by trade, started his career in the mailroom of a promotions house, not far from his new location, before moving on to agencies in Toronto and Western Canada.
