bc tel is reducing the number of advertising agencies it is using in an effort to present a clearer, more consistent message to consumers.
To that end, it is reviewing creative for the business portion of its advertising and has reassigned its residential account.
Cossette Communication-Marketing of Vancouver, which recently won the corporate branding and BC TEL Mobility parts of the business, has also been given responsibility for residential advertising. All assignments were previously with BBDO Vancouver.
A selected group of agencies, including incumbent bbdo, are being invited to pitch for the business creative job.
Doug Strachan of bc tel’s corporate communications department says a decision is expected by November, adding that media buying, direct marketing and the Internet areas of the business are next in line to be reviewed.
