Mediacom is continuing its expansion in Western Canada with a deal to acquire the shares of Macdonald & Macdonald Outdoor Advertising of Edmonton, Alta.

Vance Macdonald joins Mediacom as general manager, western region, with Greg Macdonald as sales manager.

The purchase gives Mediacom about 180 poster faces in the Edmonton market, bringing its inventory to more than 13,000 advertising faces across the country – more than 1,500 of which were acquired this year.

Mediacom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Outdoor Systems of Phoenix, Ariz., now has an out-of-home media presence in every province except Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
