Roche Macaulay & Partners has picked up its second piece of European business with the win of Scandinavia’s second-largest charter travel operator, Fritids Resor.
Andy Macaulay, the agency’s senior vice-president and director of strategic planning, says about 25% of the Toronto agency’s business is now in Europe. The company already holds the Ikea Germany account.
Roche Macaulay will be working on the business with sister agency Lowe Brindfors of Stockholm, Sweden, with the Toronto agency leading the strategic and creative end of the venture.
Macaulay says the agency did not have to take part in a review for the account; instead, the client sought it out following its recent win of an ‘Effie’ award in Germany for the effectiveness of its work for Ikea.
Stockholm-based Fritids Resor, which owns an airline and several travel agencies, specializes in charter flights to the Canary Islands and Costa del Sol.
