Bergeron to replace Beauvais

Jean Bergeron has replaced Martin Beauvais as creative director at the Montreal office of TAXI Advertising & Design.

Bergeron, a senior copywriter with the agency for about a year, had been teamed up with Beauvais, and will now work with art director Jacqueline Zegray.

Bergeron was previously creative director at Natcom, and has held senior positions at bcp (now Publicis-BCP) and Marketel McCann-Erickson. For four years, he was a director at Jet Films.

Beauvais, who had been creative director for about a year, says he was ready to make a change and the decision to leave the Montreal shop was his own.

‘Obviously, working in Montreal means working on smaller accounts. I’d like to work on national business with a larger agency, or agency network, in Toronto or the u.s.’

Beauvais joined taxi as art director in 1994 after three years at Montreal-based Tam Tam.

His work at taxi includes the ‘Love Dolls’ campaign for Manager Jeans as well as campaigns for clients that include Ortho Shields Condoms and the Quebec Federation of Pork Producers.
