After a regular review, the federal government’s estimated $50-million media buying business has been awarded to Mediavision of Montreal.

The account has changed hands after 13 years with Genesis Media of Toronto which first got the job in 1984 when it was known as Media Canada.

In a second federal review, Groupaction/JWT of Montreal has won the Treasury Board account.

BCP Group, Bowen & Binstock, Groupe Everest and LBJ-FRB were also on the shortlist.
