Envoy Communications Group, the parent of The Communiqué Group of Toronto and Hampel Stefanides of New York, has bought Toronto-based Devlin Multimedia Inc.
Devlin has created online environments for North American companies such as Imax Corporation, Federal Express, MAC Cosmetics, ibm, Health Canada, Schenker of Canada, Genencor International, Canada Trust, Ontario Hydro, and Zurich Insurance.
The company has also developed an Internet-based software application called Decision Room that allows people to meet and collaborate online.
Devlin Multimedia will work with both the Toronto and New York agencies but will be merged into Communiqué Interactive, and be headed by Devlin founder Catharine Devlin.
The acquisition will boost Communiqué Interactive’s staff roster to 40 from 25 and double the group’s annual revenues.
