Alas, after six years, Taxi and its winning client have parted ways. But it was not before rounding up an armful of awards that helped the festival grow exponentially and Taxi build an international reputation.
When interviewed in December for our Agency of the Year issue, Barry Patterson, director of marketing and communications, Canadian Film Centre, glowed about the agency’s work. And, in retrospect, there was perhaps a hint of foreboding. ‘The creative has been incredible and also reflects who we are,’ he said, when asked about the relationship the festival shared with the agency.
‘We gave them a canvas on which to be creative…. [Taxi] has been a successful partner.’
