Revolve adds Bruce Whelan as co-CD

After an extensive search, the former Cossette CD joins the team, bringing the agency's employee count to 50.

Bruce Whelan has joined Halifax based-Revolve and Matthew Allen as co-creative director.

“Matthew and Bruce will make a formidable creative duo,” says Nelson Angel, VP and managing partner, Revolve. “Bruce’s strong writing and conceptualizing background will be a great complement to Matt’s design and artistic direction.”

Coming from Cossette East, Whelan brings with him more than a decade of work experience, including a Cannes Lion for his work on the Nova Scotia Workers Compensation Board’s “Work Safe For Life” campaign. Whelan also brings with him experience in digital and experiential marketing, says Angel, helping to integrate Revolve’s digital and creative teams.

“I think [Revolve is] poised to do good things. They’re ambitious and I felt like I could make a difference,” says Whelan on why he decided to join the team. He says he’s most looking forward to the diversity of work and sinking his teeth into new projects, which will include work with the Atlantic Lottery Corporation and the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission.
