Blast hires Steve Di Lorenzo

Steve Di Lorenzo joins Blast Radius as a senior CD and will begin working for clients, such as Nike, BMW, Novartis and JC Penney.

He was most recently a CD at Capital C, working for Nissa, Scotiabank and Google.

This is the second major hire for Blast in as many months, having lured back Steve Harmer, general manager, in June.

Di Lorenzo says he looks forward to working with Toronto-based Blast – an agency he’s followed over his career.

He’s also a co-founder of Pixel, a lab space that experiments blending art and technology – something he hopes to integrate into the Blast culture.

He says he was drawn to the multi-disciplinary and digital nature of Blast’s business – stating the digital side of business offers many touch points to reach new audiences, something that greatly appeals to him.

“I believe unique ideas, through digital thinking, can be made into meaningful multichannel experiences that cut through at a cultural level,” he says. “It’s what Blast embodies – and what drew me back in.”
