Montreal agency Marketel has appointed Martin Le Sauteur has its new president and COO, effective immediately.
Le Sauteur has worked in the Montreal advertising industry for three decades. In 1998, he became the co-founder, EVP and COO of interactive agency Nurun. He was also formerly president and CEO of performance media software company Acquisio, a role he took on in 2008 and left last December.
“Over the past few months, Martin has been consulting for us at the agency, enhancing our digital team and capabilities, and what we found was that he is a perfect fit for the agency culture and also brings the experience and passion to chart the agency’s path forward,” Jacques Duval, chairman, CEO and principal shareholder at Marketel, said in a press release. Bringing on Le Sauteur shows the agency’s commitment to digital and data-driven, performance-based marketing, he said.
In his new role, Le Sauteur will also sit on the agency’s board of directors. Duval was, until now, also president at the agency. Conrad Gagnon, previously COO at the agency, has given up that role but will remain on the board of directors.
Marketel’s current client roaster includes Air Canada, FIFA, Maybelline New York, Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Solotech, among others.
