Fuse Marketing Group has added two new hires to its executive team in a move it says is “doubling down” on its digital content offering.

Laurie Dillon-Schalk is now VP strategy and insights at the shop, while Adam Bleau joins as VP practice lead, digital content. Both were most recently at creative content agency Evidently, as head of global strategy and VP, North America, respectively.

Dillon-Schalk has held roles at FCB Global, JWT and WestJet, among others. Bleau has also worked with FCB Global, The Jetstar Group and MarketSource.

“How brands tell their stories has changed almost as dramatically as the agencies who deliver them,” Dillon-Schalk said in a press release. “Ad agencies have a long history of packing a story into 30-second spots. Now, consumers are visiting social networks with more regularity, so episodic storytelling becomes very realistic. There is a tremendous gap today between understanding how social platforms work, how they continuously evolve, and how to target audiences together with what kind of informal, personable creative will be engaging enough to audiences.”

Among the shop’s hires last year was Boom! Marketing founder Nicole Gallucci, who came on to lead Fuse’s experiential offering.
