Independent agency Art & Science has recruited new leadership for its creative team, adding Kendra Schumacher as creative director of design.
Schumacher joins the agency’s executive team with more than two decades of experience, most recently with Blue Noise Studios. She has also worked for media brands Torstar, Canwest and Fourth Wall, and in the music industry with Sony Music and Virgin/EMI.
She was hired after a six-month search “to establish a creative vision that aligns with designing the future of brands, lead client work into innovative territories and nurture a growing team of creative professionals hungry to do more and needing mentorship,” says Spencer Saunders, president at the agency, to whom Schumacher will report.
“With more requests coming to us that are truly integrated and new clients looking for us to design their future, Kendra couldn’t be joining us at a more opportune time,” he adds.
Art & Science has increased its headcount considerably over the past four years, with a growth rate of more than 20%. It has also further developed its client roster with the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Park Holdings, Bradley Smoker and the Canada Ireland Foundation. It has also expanded mandates with existing clients like Revera, Knowledge First Financial and The Fertility Partners heading into 2023.
