Pets are always in season and Pet Valu is proving as much by unveiling its latest Bailey & Bella fashion collection.
The capsule, including sweaters, hoodies, vests and water-repellent layering pieces, is featured in an inspirational digital lookbook so that devoted pet owners can browse the collection and shop at their convenience.
The lookbook includes clickable purchase links, as well as additional product information and animal care expertise, including signs of overheating, how to find the right fit, safety, etc.
“We’re very excited about this year’s collection as it builds on the fall classics with preppy styles, from a polo shirt with rugby stripes to a reversible super puffer vest,” says Matthew Shanks, VP proprietary brands at Pet Valu. “With all of the different layering pieces you can create an entire look for your pet that appeals to your sense of style and your pet’s activity level.”
In addition to the fall apparel, Pet Valu has released a selection of fall-themed Jump branded products including large and small plush toys, a crinkle and squeak tug rope and treat dispensing puzzles. These are designed to provide stimulating interactive play and to promote learning and discovery.
The fall collection – available exclusively in Pet Valu’s family of stores across Canada including Pet Valu, Bosley’s by Pet Valu, Paulmac’s, Total Pet and Tisol and online at petvalu.ca – is being supported by a marketing campaign that includes email, paid digital ads and search ads on Flipp and Reebee.
Earlier this summer, Pet Valu expanded its Bailey & Bella Celebrations line of products to include a wedding collection, alongside new products in its birthday and “Gotcha Day” lines. The expansions – as well as a supporting marketing campaign – were in response to a growing trend among Canadians to include their pets in significant life moments.
The retailer’s August quarterly revealed system-wide sales were up more than 10% versus the year prior, sitting at $343.9 million, while same-store sales growth was 6%.
