Grey Canada has named a new executive creative director, appointing Sebastián Benítez González to the role.
González enters the position after previously leading Grey Colombia’s creative department. His track record includes a range of accomplishments including Cannes Lions, Clio, One Show, Effie awards and more. He was selected as someone who could bring fresh energy and perspective to Grey Canada’s creative, the agency says.
The new ECD for Grey Canada also works for Grey’s sister agency, Tank Worldwide, as executive creative director, alongside his current role with Grey.
The move comes on the heels of a pair of new business wins for the agency, as it’ll work on the creative for TVO and Diabetes Canada.
González’s new position with Grey Canada is bolstered by a pair of creative director promotions for the agency, with Jordan Gabriel and Tomás Soares recently stepping into CD roles for the agency. Gabriel is a copywriter who joined Grey after previous experience with Leo Burnett and FCB/Six, and he’s worked with such clients as Lindt and Special Olympics Canada. Soares, meanwhile, is an art director with more than 15 years of experience who’s worked with brands like Coca-Cola and Special Olympics Canada.
