Disrupt officially opens its doors

Content and branding studio Disrupt Marketing has officially launched in Calgary.

Prior to opening, Disrupt garnered attention from leading Calgary brands like Trickle Creek Homes. Disrupt also successfully collaborated with the Willett Basketball Foundation, providing the organization with a complete brand identity and social media marketing.

“After witnessing firsthand how even great brands struggle with content and social media, we want to change that,” says Olivia Yeneka, Disrupt’s director of brand and marketing says. “We’re excited to partner with forward-thinking clients who are looking for attention, adaptability and change.”

Yeneka moved to Calgary in 2022, where she started at Daughter Creative as an account coordinator before moving to Disrupt.

Oseen has more than 12 years of experience as a social media manager, including six years as the content and marketing lead at Wylo & Co, a children’s apparel company she co-founded. She has also served as a social media coach and contractor for various brands across the city.

“Many people mistakenly believe that social media is easy or that anyone can handle it effortlessly,” says Kate Oseen, the studio’s content and social lead. “A studio with a deep understanding of social media can adapt to changes and provide support.”

Clearmotive picks up a client

Calgary-based indie shop Clearmotive has added Canada Powered by Women to its roster.

The group’s mandate is to influence public perception, policymakers and government as it pertains to national energy policy.

The agency is working on “multiple aspects of [its] marketing with a specific focus on the web platform and paid media.”

This month, Clearmotive acquired the North American division of Fountain Partnership, a UK-based digital marketing agency that specializes in SEO, paid media, conversion rate optimization (CRO) and measurement analytics.

Calgary PR firm snags client wins

Calgary-based boutique shop, Brookline PR has secured three new remits.

These include Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort in Banff, where Brookline says it will support “summer season events, activities, awareness and more,” through media and influencer relations.

The shop was brought on as the on-site PR agency for June’s Global Energy Show Canada (GESC), Stampede Park Calgary.

Finally, in late May, it announced it was working with The Master Group of Canada, the country’s largest independent distributor of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration products. Brookline will support the opening of its newest distribution centre.
