Marketers on the Move: Changes at Goodfood, Walmart, Groupe Bel


Goodfood promotes EVP of marketing to C-Suite role

Jennifer Stahlke (pictured above) is Goodfood Market’s new chief customer officer.

Stahlke previously served as EVP of marketing and member happiness for the Canadian meal kit brand, which she joined in 2020 as VP of marketing and revenue. She oversaw work that included cartoon raccoons to draw attention to food waste.

Prior, she was vice-president of customer marketing for Walmart Canada. Her tenure with the retailer was six-and-half years.

Goodfood Market recently acquired a majority stake in Genuine Tea.

Walmart Canada makes senior marketing move

Marija Cannataro is Walmart Canada’s new VP of marketing operations and customer care.

She comes to the role as Walmart’s former senior director of marketplace operations. Prior, she was spearheaded strategic partnerships for the retail giant. As lead of business development, Cannataro also helped launch third-party seller Walmart Marketplace in Canada.

For nine years, Cannataro served as senior brand manager of private brands, supporting the growth of the 20-plus private brands through rationalization and new brand development.

Mondelez veteran joins Groupe Bel Canada

Anne-Laure Coussot is the new VP of growth of fruit category (Gogo-Squeez) for Groupe Bel Canada, based out of Montreal.

Before joining Bel – which is best known as the maker of brands like Boursin, The Laughing Cow, Babybel and kiddie snack Gogo-Squeez – Coussot was sales director for convenience, gas, wholesale and foodservice for Mondelez. Prior to that, Coussot was Mondelez Canada’s director of key accounts for Loblaw.

She began her career in Canada as a Mondelez shopper marketing manager working with Walmart, Costco and Overwaitea/Pattison Food Group.

Framar names a new marketing director

starting a new position as marketing director at hair accessories brand Framar.

She was previously senior marketing manager for OTC and consumer healthcare player, The Mentholatum Company of Canada, leading campaigns in support of acne brand, Oxy.

An eight-and-half-year veteran of Maple Leaf Foods, she previously held the role of category sales development manager for the CPG.
