Dave adds Lemon brew to International Selection

Dave Nichol has uncapped the fourth brew in his International Selection of beers, a line of imported-style beers at less than regular beer prices.

Dave’s Lemon Lager is now available throughout Ontario in six packs of bottles only.

According to Ferg Devins, brand manager at Molson Breweries, which markets Dave’s Beer under licence, the idea for the new brew came to Nichol during one of his many trips. This time, it was a family trip to Bavaria last Christmas, where he witnessed locals putting slices of lemon in their beer.

Nichol took the concept one step further and brewed his new beer with a hint of lemon.

Dave’s Lemon Lager joins Doppelgold, Massive Irish and Dave’s Scotch Ale in Dave Nichol’s International Selection.

A mixed-media campaign from MGA Advertising of Toronto launches June 23 and includes print, two 30-second tv commercials and two 30-second radio spots, all featuring Nichol as spokesman.

Nichol’s other brands are Lager, Premium Light and Premium Ice.
