Leo Burnett splits creative department

Leo Burnett of Toronto is restructuring its creative department.

The department will be split into two groups, with Jeff Finkler, the agency’s chief creative officer, heading the first group.

The second group will be led by a new team. Brian Hickling, art director, and Jim Garbutt, copywriter, will join the agency June 27, each with the title vice-president, associate creative director.

Hickling and Garbutt have spent the last eight years with Cossette Communication-Marketing in Toronto.

Leo Burnett lost two members of its creative department recently.

Art director Sam Sitt moved to DMB&B St. Louis, while copywriter Andrew Anthony left the agency and is taking some time to consider his next career move.
