LA Ads of Toronto has opened a Vancouver office to service West Coast accounts Grouse Mountain Resorts, Canlan/Icesports and two new pieces of business that have not yet been announced.
Laurie Adams, who has been with the Toronto office for 10 years, heads the new office as president and partner.
Lawrence Ayliffe, agency principal, says LA Ads has been doing work for clients in Western Canada for a number of years and wants to go where the action is.
‘There’s lots of opportunity in Vancouver for agencies with our kind of experience,’ says Ayliffe, adding,’Laurie’s determined to make the Vancouver office even bigger than the one in Toronto.’
The agency has recently picked up several pieces of business, including the creative assignment for Brooks Athletic Shoes.
Not only has Ayliffe been commuting between Toronto and Vancouver, but he has also been jetting to and from Europe.
LA Ads’ experience with shopping centre properties in Toronto , Newmarket and London, Ont. has netted the agency similar work in Eastern Europe.
Ayliffe says the agency has been hired by a Polish development company planning 25 western-style shopping malls in Eastern Europe over the next couple of years.
