– Specialty tv operator Les Reseau Premier Choix has assigned its marketing and communications for Canal Famille, a children’s channel, and Canal D, a primetime documentary service, to Blitz, the promotion division of Cossette Communication-Marketing.
Sprint, the outgoing agency, retains the Super Ecran pay tv movie account.
Blitz’ first assignment is the launch of the fall tv schedule.

– Acklands Limited, an automotive distributor, has hired the AutoShop division of Toronto’s Griffin Bacal Volny to handle the launch of its chain of franchised AutoPLACE mechanical and collision repair shops.
The client has 130 outlets, primarily in Quebec, and is expected to grow to 1,000 nationally.
Acklands has also given gbv responsibility for its subsidiary, McKerlie-Millen Network.
