Organic’s Toronto office set to close

In the wake of losing its Bank of America business, US-based Organic Inc. has confirmed that it is closing its Toronto office.

The office is the only Canadian outpost for the global digital marketing agency, which has included Nike, American Express and Bank of America in its client roster; Canadian work has included Jeep, Nike, and Greg’s Ice Cream.  It also has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit, New York and London.

Organic VP of marketing Gail Scibelli confirmed the news with strategy from New York this morning.

‘It’s due to the Bank of America business, which is going away in a couple of months, so we’ve decided to close our Canadian operations later this spring,’ she said. ‘We’re trying to handle it as compassionately as we can.’

When asked if some staff would be offered relocation to other Organic offices, Scibelli said it was something the company was hoping to be able to do.

Organic Toronto deferred comment on the matter to the New York office.
