Young & Rubicam of Toronto has recently added two new pieces of business to its roster: Novell Canada and iStar Internet.
Novell, a Utah-based computer software company, consolidated its worldwide creative and strategic assignment with y&r last year, with the San Francisco office being the lead agency.
Novell products include Netware, Managewise and Groupwise operating and networking software for business. The company’s WordPerfect word processing software group was purchased by Ottawa-based Corel Corp. this past January.
y&r picked up its second new client, iStar, earlier this month after a creative shoot-out for the $4 million account with J. Walter Thompson and Vickers & Benson.
The agency will handle both the creative and media elements of the business, with print and television advertising expected.
The assignment was previously handled in-house.
Ottawa-based iStar is a national Internet access provider.
It also builds Web sites and offers other Internet services such as security consulting.
