– The Tourism Alliance for Western and Northern Canada of Saskatoon has awarded its new account estimated at $3 million to Palmer Jarvis of Vancouver. Four other agencies and consortiums were in the race, including runnerup, Parallel Strategies of Calgary.

– Intracorp Developments of Toronto has named LA Ads of Toronto as its Ontario agency. Intracorp is a developer and builder of residential real estate properties. Sister company Intrawest owns resort and recreational properties such as Blackcomb at Whistler, b.c., Keystone in Colorado and Mont Tremblant in Quebec.

– Reynolds and Reynolds (Canada) has hired Griffin Bacal Volny of Toronto to launch its Customer Marketing Services Division. Reynolds and Reynolds supplies computer systems, business forms and other products to automotive dealerships.

– Ministry of Transport, Quebec has stayed with incumbent agency PNMD/ Publitel of Montreal for its business estimated at $750,000. On the shortlist were bleu blanc rouge and Palm Publicite.
