Canadian shops await news of Kodak review

Kodak Canada is unsure exactly what the fallout will be in Canada when the Eastman Kodak global review is completed in the next few weeks.

But Ted Knight, manager, marketing publicity, says it will have an impact.

The review has BBDO Worldwide and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide pitching for a global account estimated at US$50 million.

The winner is expected to launch a worldwide branding campaign late this year.

Last November, o&m was named Kodak’s worldwide agency of record for its Digital & Applied Imaging business.

Other Kodak agencies not included in the contest are J. Walter Thompson, which is responsible for about US$300 million of Kodak’s business, and Young & Rubicam, which has some international assignments.

In Canada, o&m handles the Digital Imaging account, y&r has the consumer business, and a number of other agencies, including jwt, are used for other projects.
