Saffer wins expanding U.S. bridal chain

The Saffer Group has picked up another u.s. client, David’s Bridal Superstore, a growing Philadelphia-based chain of 30 stores in the eastern u.s. that plans to open at least one store per month.

Toronto’s Saffer will handle all in-store, direct mail, radio and television communications for the chain.

The agency’s other clients are Hudson Bay and the 1,000-store Home Hardware operation in Canada and in the u.s., Nashville, Tenn.-based Service Merchandise, and Proffitt’s, a Knoxville, Tenn.-based department store chain.

Proffitt’s, which has 100 stores and almost US$1 billion in annual sales, hired Saffer three months ago to reposition its two divisions – Proffitt’s and McRae’s, its Mississippi-based chain.
