BCP’s Lee decamps to Chiat/Day

In a surprise move, John Lee has pulled up stakes at bcp in Toronto, his employer since June, and moved across town to Chiat/Day, as client services director.

The Chiat/Day post marks the third time Lee has switched jobs in as many years.

Before signing on as senior vice-president, strategy at bcp, Lee did an 18-month tour as vice-president and general manager with Taxi’s Toronto office.

He left his previous post as president of Franklin Dallas Advertising to join Taxi.

In his new position at Chiat/ Day, Lee is responsible for all non-Nissan accounts and new business.

He will also help manage the transition of the agency to TBWA Chiat/Day, which is expected to be completed late this summer.

Steve Hancock, Chiat managing director, says the hiring of Lee is the final piece in the management restructuring that has taken place at the agency over the past year.

Lee replaces Jay Bertram, who moved to Cossette Communication-Marketing in Toronto.
