H&M wins Samsung

Samsung Electronics Canada has awarded its $1-million advertising account to Harrod & Mirlin, Toronto.

The review also included SMW Advertising, Goodgoll Curtis and United Business Communications.

Mississauga, Ont.-based Samsung previously handled advertising in-house, although smw created the advertising for the launch of the NoteMaster 486P notebook computer on a project basis last fall.

The Communications Group, which also worked on the NoteMaster 486P launch, has been officially named Samsung’s public relations firm.

A new campaign begins early this month.

Samsung will introduce several computer and consumer electronics products throughout the year.
