Peter Lanyon, former president and creative director of MacLaren Lintas of Toronto, is working with Martin O’Neill, president and chief executive officer of Montreal-based MicroCell 1-2-1 (formerly Canada Popfone), on a top-secret project for the company.

MicroCell, a wireless communications company, is testing equipment in the 1.9 GHz spectrum.

It will be applying to the federal government for a 2 GHz Personal Communication Service (pcs) licence later this year.
