To head Reebok account

Burnett’s Altilia posted to Chicago

Tony Altilia of Leo Burnett, Toronto is moving to Chicago at the end of the month to handle the agency’s US$140-million global Reebok account as senior vice-president, worldwide head of Reebok.

Altilia has been Toronto’s executive vice-president and chief client service officer for the past five years.

He will be replaced in Toronto at a later date.

He was with J. Walter Thompson before Burnett.

Altilia began his career in brand management in 1974 with Campbell Soup.

In September, Reebok International of Stoughton, Mass. consolidated global advertising with Leo Burnett.

Burnett has had Reebok’s Far East business since 1992, and the Latin America portion since early this year.

It added the North American assignment handled by Chiat/ Day of Venice, Calif. since 1991 and the pan-European account won by Euro RSCG last year.

Altilia says Reebok will be controlled out of Chicago with global campaigns and regional work handled by other Burnett offices as needed.
