Fassbender takes leave

Peter Fassbender, partner and senior vice-president of Palmer Jarvis Advertising, Vancouver has taken a year’s leave to become president of Creative Islands International.

Creative Islands is the social marketing division of Commitment Future Foundation, an international non-profit foundation based in Germany.

The new Vancouver office will introduce programs into the North American and Asian markets consistent with the foundation’s mandate, which is to support social initiatives fostering co-operation, peace and harmony among people, and between people and the environment.

Fassbender will be working to bring companies and causes together to raise money and awareness for charities and the environment, anti-drug and stay-in-school initiatives with programs that involve a donation of part of a company’s sales during a specific campaign.

Meanwhile at Palmer Jarvis, Barb Grant is taking on added responsibility and has been promoted to account manager from account supervisor.

Grant, with the agency for eight years, will be working primarily on the Sun-Rype Products and The Nabob Coffee Company accounts. PS
