For the second time in a month, SMW Advertising has been a big winner at a healthcare ad competition, this time in a major u.s. show.
SMW won gold and silver awards in three separate categories at the 9th International Awards of Excellence known as the ‘In-Awe’ Awards staged June 3 at Lake Tahoe, Calif. by the American Media Marketing Association.
smw nabbed gold in the tv category for ‘Attention,’ created for Marion Merrell Dow’s Seldane, and silver for ‘Teddy Bear’ for Sandoz and its Triaminic Night Time cough syrup.
The agency also received certificates of excellence for two other tv spots.
In print, it picked up gold and silver in the single-page category for clients Astra Pharmaceuticals and Ciba-Geigy.
Two ads for the Marion Merrell Dow Nicoderm anti-smoking patch won gold and silver in the double-page ad category.
Last month in Montreal, smw won seven out of 13 categories at the third annual pace (Pharmaceutical Advertising Creative Excellence) Awards put on by the Pharmaceutical Marketing Clubs of Ontario and Quebec. PS
