New name for FCB

FCB/Ronalds-Reynolds has officially become Foote Cone & Belding Canada.

Ronalds-Reynolds was dropped following the January retirements of Hank Karpus, chairman emeritus, and Bill Gaskey, chairman and chief executive officer.

Karpus joined Ronalds-Reynolds in 1950 and Gaskey in 1959 and became principal owners of the agency in 1974.

When Ronalds-Reynolds was purchased by Foote Cone & Belding in 1987, part of the agreement was that r-r remain part of the name as long as the two stayed with the agency.

David Haan, previously president and chief operating officer, has moved to president, and ceo and Paul Mead, former executive vice-president and coo at J. Walter Thompson is now senior vice-president, coo. PS
