Tambrands, working in partnership with the Canadian Women’s Foundation, has set up the Tampax Trust Fund to provide grants to women’s shelters for activities not usually funded by government.
A national ‘You Donate & We’ll Match’ campaign runs to the end of the year.
Tambrands is encouraging the public to donate to the fund and will match donations up to $100,000.
The company has committed $300,000 to the foundation over three years.
Leo Burnett and Heather Reid & Associates public relations have put together an effort that includes promotional packaging, print advertising, direct mail, radio spots, public relations and community outreach programs.
Local talent and musicians produced the radio psa and so far print media have donated about $250,000 in advertising space.
