Larry Tolpin is moving to Toronto as executive vice-president, chief creative officer at McKim Baker Lovick/BBDO on Nov. 1.
Tolpin, senior creative director at mbl/bbdo’s Vancouver office for the past three years, is replacing Boris Damast who left last month to start Damast Gordon and Partners.
Joining Tolpin are Michael McLaughlin and Stephen Creet, senior creative team from MacLaren:Lintas for more than five years, as senior vice-presidents, group creative directors.
Tolpin has known McLaughlin for the past couple of years and is a great fan of his work. When this new opportunity came along, he approached the creative team behind award-winning campaigns for Molson Canadian and Sunlight to be a part of it.
Tolpin has won more than 100 Canadian and international awards.
