SmithKline down to two

The biological division of SmithKline Beecham Pharma of Toronto is searching for a new agency to replace Kennedy Huggins Marchant Shields.

Two agencies have been short-listed, with a decision expected within days.

Kennedy Huggins resigned the business after a year, citing a possible conflict of interest.

Kevin Kennedy, president of the two-year-old Toronto shop, describes it as a ‘good news, bad news situation.’

His wife, Robin Kennedy, has just been made product manager of SmithKline Beecham’s biological division, which produces hepatitis B vaccine Engerix B, the company’s second-largest product. PS
