Fanklin Dallas made a big impression on Canada’s smallest province.
Now Prince Edward Island is expecting the Toronto shop to create some dynamic advertising for its 1993 tourism campaign.
Franklin Dallas was picked for the assignment from a short-list that included Toronto agencies Young & Rubicam, Deacon Day Advertising, and Doner Schur Peppler, and incumbent Montague Communications.
Montague is a partnership of Sparrow Communications, of Charlottetown, and Marbury Advertising, Toronto.
Tourism ranks second to agriculture as a producer of revenue for the province. Next year, for the first time, the tourism industry will kick in 20% of the advertising budget.
The agency selection was made by industry representatives and the P.E.I. Marketing Agency, the provincial group responsible for promoting fisheries and agriculture. PS
