Sunwing adds new marketing manager
Victoria Bakos (pictured above) has joined the team at Sunwing, starting a new position as marketing manager, PR and communications for the Quebec market.
A former Global News reporter in Montreal, Bakos also previously worked as PR manager with mattress brand Polysleep, and as a marketing analyst with specialty retailer, Bath & Body Works.
Humber College names new head of communications
Emily Milic is the new director of communications for Humber College. She previously held the roles of associate director of communications, and manager of PR and communications.
A more than decade-long veteran of Seneca College prior to working at Humber, Milic was that school’s acting manager of communications, and prior to that, she worked as the school’s media relations and public affairs specialist.
Discover Halifax finds new senior marketer
Jenna Rideout is starting a new position as senior manager of event marketing at Discover Halifax. Rideout is a more than five-year veteran of Build Nova Scotia, recently working as its manager of marketing and events.
On the agency side, she held account roles with Verb Interactive and M5.
Sleeman staffs up its trade marketing team
Jaylene Houde is starting a new position as trade marketing manager for Ontario and Atlantic Canada at Sleeman Breweries.
Houde formerly worked as experiential and PR manager for travel accessories and luggage brand, Rimowa. There, she managed national company and client activations, as well as the company’s PR activities.
Tito’s promotes
David Bowden has been promoted to national marketing and sales director – Canada at Tito’s Handmade Vodka. He is most recently the Texas-based spirit maker’s market manager for Western Canada, based in Calgary.
