DDB regroups youth media accounts

All youth media buying and planning for agencies under the DDB Group Canada umbrella – including Palmer Jarvis DDB and Griffin Bacal Volny – has been consolidated with Imagination Youth Marketing, a division of Palmer Jarvis DDB.

The move means the loss to gbv of the media business for toy maker Hasbro Canada and its divisions Milton Bradley, Larami, Cap Toys, Creative Play and Tonka.

Concurrently, Sue Poland, a 27-year veteran of the agency business and a specialist in youth media planning and buying, has joined Imagination from gbv as vice-president, media director responsible for national media planning and buying. She will be based in the Toronto office of the Vancouver-based agency.

Poland had been media director at gbv and, for the past 10 years, headed the Hasbro account at that agency.

Also joining the Imagination media group are Melanie Fernadez as broadcast producer and traffic manager, and Sonia Borgo as media assistant.
