Walmart Canada taps Twist Image

The agency will handle digital marketing duties for the chain in Canada.

Twist Image has won the Walmart Canada account to handle the company’s digital marketing duties in Canada following a competitive review.

The contract, which begins immediately, puts Twist Image in charge of making Walmart Canada as prominent on the digital scene as they are in the retail world, according to a release.

“After seeing Twist Image’s vision for digital marketing with Walmart Canada, the choice was unanimous,” said Emma Fox , senior VP, marketing, Walmart Canada in a release. “We understand the nature of this highly connected consumer, and we believe Twist Image shares this vision and is the right partner for Walmart Canada in delivering on our vision to use all things web, mobile and social media.”

Walmart’s digital marketing was previously handled by JWT, which retains its position as the brand’s creative AOR.
