ComFree names Open AOR

The Quebec-based real estate listings network ComFree has named Open its AOR. The Toronto-based agency will focus on national advertising campaigns for the brand.

“We’re very pleased to start working with Open. Their creative and strategic expertise is going to help us grow in English Canada, allowing us to offer a cost effective alternative for home sellers,” said Josee-Anne Morin, VP of marketing, ComFree/Duproprio, in a statement.

The first work from Open on this account is set to hit market early next year. “Our initial work with ComFree is working with them on defining their brand story, brand language and tone,” said Martin Beauvais, Partner, Open. “In the new year we’ll be working on strengthening their market presence via a national advertising campaign.”

Open, which has offices in Toronto and Montreal, was founded two years ago by Martin Beauvais and Christian Mathieu. The agency’s other clients include Vancouver’s Lucky Penny Wine and Canadian fashion company Smythe and Toronto-based restaurant chain Bier Markt.

ComFree.com, which employs 300 people and lists more than 17,000 properties across the country, has offices in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
